Worry weighs a person down;

an encouraging word cheers

a person up” (Proverbs 12:25)

Remember, with your words, you carry life-giving water. You carry hope, healing, encouragement and new beginnings, and you can pour it out everywhere you go. Instead of telling people what they’re doing wrong, instead of pointing out all their faults, find what they are doing right. Focus on the good. There are already enough critical, judgmental people in the world. Let’s be people who lift up others and restore them. Choose to speak encouragement.

Year 2010 is now come to its end. I just gotta say that 2010 is an awesome year for me. I’ve learnt and experience a lot of new things this year. There were definitely a lot of “1st time”s in this year.

1) It’s my 1st year in college and it has been awesome. There are 2 semesters this year and I enjoyed both of the semesters. I get to learn new things and make new friends.

2) If you read my blog often, you’ll know that I don’t really like arts when I was young as I’m not good at it. I’m more towards Science. So, this is my 1st time I actually studied arts throughout the year. Surprisingly, I really enjoy it. Although, I’m not good at it in Semester 1, but I can see improvements in this semester and my results have improved too. I really thank God for His guidance everyday and in every class. I couldn’t have done it without Him. I don’t have any C’s in my results this semester. Praise God for that! more…

When you’re a 12 year old boy sitting in a cell charged as an adult for first-degree murder, it feels like the whole world has turned against you.

James was given a fifteen-year sentence. Now at seventeen, he have been locked up for half a decade. During that time, he have looked back at his life and seen bad choices he made. He realize now the world wasn’t against him, but he was against himself. He was raised by a single, independent mother of seven children in a housing project. At the age of eight, James started selling drugs and roaming the streets with older guys. He was determined to provide his family with the necessities of life; food, clothing, and shelter, but there were times when they had nothing and even slept in cars. more…

What does the word “life” means to you? Is it something precious? Or is it something worthless and meaningless? Well, life to me is like a journey we have to go through before we can reach home (Heaven). It’s just like journey on the road. And along the way, there’s always traffic jam, road blocks and anything at all that we faced before we reach the destination. There are also many route we can take to reach the destination. more…

The Pencil Maker spoke to the pencil saying “There are five things you need to know before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and you will become the best pencil you can be.”

“First: You will be able to do many things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone’s hand.” more…
