Worry weighs a person down;

an encouraging word cheers

a person up” (Proverbs 12:25)

Remember, with your words, you carry life-giving water. You carry hope, healing, encouragement and new beginnings, and you can pour it out everywhere you go. Instead of telling people what they’re doing wrong, instead of pointing out all their faults, find what they are doing right. Focus on the good. There are already enough critical, judgmental people in the world. Let’s be people who lift up others and restore them. Choose to speak encouragement.

Many of my friends are currently in a relationship. Well, I’m in a relationship too, and his name is Jesus. And I’m here to share with you about Him. He’s my best friend, my comfort, my provider, my savior, and etc. He’s everything everyone would want, if they know about Him. He never condemn, reject, betray, or even hurt us. You don’t even have to worry about Him cheating on you!! (LOL) And the greatest thing of all is that He’ll show you great miracles, which I don’t think anyone on earth can do that. All we gotta do is accept Him & invite Him into our heart. more…

Year 2010 is now come to its end. I just gotta say that 2010 is an awesome year for me. I’ve learnt and experience a lot of new things this year. There were definitely a lot of “1st time”s in this year.

1) It’s my 1st year in college and it has been awesome. There are 2 semesters this year and I enjoyed both of the semesters. I get to learn new things and make new friends.

2) If you read my blog often, you’ll know that I don’t really like arts when I was young as I’m not good at it. I’m more towards Science. So, this is my 1st time I actually studied arts throughout the year. Surprisingly, I really enjoy it. Although, I’m not good at it in Semester 1, but I can see improvements in this semester and my results have improved too. I really thank God for His guidance everyday and in every class. I couldn’t have done it without Him. I don’t have any C’s in my results this semester. Praise God for that! more…

Just wanna share this video with you guys. This is a very nice video, so please take time to watch. It’s God’s Love Letter to all of us. I download it into my iPhone and I constantly play it to remind me. It brings hope and comfort when you need it. Sometimes, we’re too busy with school, college and everyday life that we forgot about God and how much He loves us. Sometimes, when we have problems, we tend to forget that He’s there. I encourage everyone to watch this video and if possible, download it so you can watch it whenever you want and where ever you are. The video says it all. Enjoy and God bless! :)

Okay, I know I haven’t been blogging for a very long time. Well, I’m back! Anyway, I was on Facebook just now and I was bored. So I look into an application called “Hey I Like”. Some of the quotes and jokes make me laugh, while some make me smile. So, just wanna share some of the jokes and quotes with you. Just to bring a smile on your face. Who knows?? You might be having a bad day and this might cheer you up. (^.^)

Boy : I love you more than anyone.
Girl : Really? Surely someone loves me more.
Boy : Who dares to say that? I love you so much, I would die for you.
Girl : He already did.
Relationships come and go. Christ’s love is forever.

Man walks into elevator.
Blonde : T-G-I-F
Man : S-H-I-T
Blonde (Confused) : T–G–I–F–
Man (Slowly) : S–H–I–T–
Blonde : T-G-I-F means Thank God It’s Friday
Man Giggles : Sorry Honey It’s Thursday!

I remember reading this book, Teen Ink in my school library a couple years ago and I wrote down this story from the book because it inspires me. I can’t believe I still have it up to today and I would like to share this story in my blog. So here goes…

When you’re a 12 year old boy sitting in a cell charged as an adult for first-degree murder, it feels like the whole world has turned against you.

James was given a fifteen-year sentence. Now at seventeen, he have been locked up for half a decade. During that time, he have looked back at his life and seen bad choices he made. He realize now the world wasn’t against him, but he was against himself. He was raised by a single, independent mother of seven children in a housing project. At the age of eight, James started selling drugs and roaming the streets with older guys. He was determined to provide his family with the necessities of life; food, clothing, and shelter, but there were times when they had nothing and even slept in cars. more…

It’s nice looking at old pictures once in a while.  It makes us wish we could slow down time and shows us how much we’ve grown and changed. Some pictures can even bring a smile to us as it brings us back to the past through all those memories that we may have forgotten for a while. I saw a few pictures of me when I was young when cleaning my drawer and I’ve decided to scan it into the computer. It’s hard to believe that I’m already 18 this year. It makes me realize that time flies.

In this post, I would like to talk about a book which I like and personally thinks people should read it. As you can see from the topic above, the title of this book is “Do Hard Things : A teenage rebellion against low expectations” and is written by Alex and Brett Harris.

This book is very motivating and it kinda challenges you to go further in life. It’s about having faith in God and stepping out from your comfort zone to do hard things. It’s not only suitable for teenagers, but I think it is also suitable for parents, young adults, church leaders and even pastors. Watch the video to know more about the book.

From the bible (NIV) : 1 Timothy 4:12 – Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. more…

Wow!! Time do pass by fast. Just a blink of an eye and it’s already February! I know my last update was in January. Well, here are some updates on what’s going on.

- College is still great! Had my 1st assignment to do and it’s due on week 8, which is next 3 weeks. For 2D and Colour Studies, we are required to make a carrier (to put things inside. For example, a bag, a box…etc…). For Drawing class, we need to draw a pile of oranges and also a handkerchief. And for Computer Studies, we need to design a milk carton.

- Followed my dad to PECC (Penang E-Community Club) last 2 Friday and helped out by guiding the senior citizen on using Facebook. Bernice was the teacher and the volunteers including me were there to help. I’m gonna teach them about blogging soon! (^.^) more…
