Lake Toba, Indonesia (Day 3 & 4)

On the 3rd day, we checked out from Bagus Bay hotel and switched to Thyesza Inn. We stayed there for 2 nights. Dad wanted to make this trip interesting, so we switched to different hotels. And in this trip, we stayed in 3 different hotels!!

Our Room

Jo Ee & Jo Von

For lunch, again, we ordered a few dishes with plain rice. The food were quite tasty.

Strawberry Fanta. You cannot find this in Penang anymore.

Sweet & Sour Fish

Omelet with Tomato Onion

Curry Chicken (The curry taste different compared to Penang’s curry).

It rained heavily, so we took a rest and played some board games. After playing a few rounds, we went back to our room to take a nap. Unfortunately, I was hyperactive that time, so I couldn’t sleep. Ended up, I read the book I brought for the trip – “CHIN UP” by Pastor Kenneth Chin. After half-an-hour to one hour later, the rain stopped and I followed Uncle Yao, together with his family for a walk, while dad, mum & Amos were still asleep.

Look at the mountain after it rained. It was very cold that time.

Wild boar. Look at it, don’t you pity it?

Some Batak children playing

The kids made their own toys to play

After walking for around 1 hour plus, we went back to the hotel for a swim. The weather was still cold that time, so we ended up “floating” than swimming. You’ll know what I mean from the pictures below. πŸ˜‰

We did not stay in the water for long. After around half-an-hour, we went to take a shower. After that, it’s dinner time!!

Sweet & Sour Fish

Omelet with Mushroom No Magic

Kang Kung Taucu

After dinner, we went back to our room, and that’s the end of Day 3. The next morning, Uncle Yao & dad rented a car. Then, we went to Tomok market. On the way there, the screw of the spare tire went loose and the spare tire fell off. Dad had to pick it up, not to mention that moment was hilarious. Dad then used his “improvising skills” to fix. LOL. πŸ˜€

After that, we went to Stone Chair of King Siallagan.

Traditional Batak Houses

We then went to Cotney’s Restaurant for lunch. The food were good too. Actually, all the food there were very tasty.

Tomato Omelet

Sweet & Sour Fish

Rendang Chicken

After lunch, we went back to the hotel to pluck more corns!! Took some pictures on the way back too.

And then, Dinner Time!!!

Kang Kung with Coconut

Ikan Mentega (Butter Fish)

Omelet with Cheese

Pictures of Day 5 & 6 will be in the next post!!! πŸ˜€
