227proposal

Went to Queensbay Mall yesterday night with some of my cell group friends to have dinner and also to watch “The Proposal”. It was hilariuos and all of us laughed throughout the entire movie. For those who haven’t watch yet, you guys should really watch. I can assure you that you will not fall asleep as you’ll be laughing from the begining of the movie until the end of the movie.  Here are the trailer and also the sinopsis of the movie.

Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) is a bossy executive editor-in-chief of a book publishing company and all her workers, including her assistant, Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) hate her. She forces her assitant, Andrew to marry her so she can avoid being deported to Canada. Andrew grudgingly accepts, under the condition that he will be promoted to the position of editor and his manuscript will be published. When Mr. Gilbertson (Dennis O’Hare), a immigration officer wants to investigate to make sure that the marriage is not fraudulent, Margaret and Andrew had to spend the weekend together in Sitka, Alaska together with Andrew’s parents in order to buy the lie.

In Alaska, Margaret was shocked to learn that Andrew is not the guy she expected (she expects him to be poor). Turns out, Andrew’s family owns most of the business in Sitka and his house was huge. They also learned a little more about each other as they start spending more time with each other. One morning, Andrew’s family suggest they could get marry tomorrow, and they reluctantly accept. Andrew started to stressed out after hearing it because the marriage is actually a sham and his family doesn’t know about that. Margaret tries to comfort him, finding herself genuinely caring for him.

During the wedding ceremony, Margaret realised that she cannot do this anymore to Andrew as it’s not fair to him and his family. She confessed about the business arrangement in front of everyone including Mr. Gilbertson, who tells her that she has 24 hours to deport to Canada, and thus goes back to New York to pack her things. Upon doing so, however, Andrew shows up at office and confesses his love for her in front of the entire offfice staff, proposing marriage all over again. They go to Mr. Gilbertson once more to get engaged “for real”.
