Just came back from church and I wanna share on what I’ve just learn. Today, economy is not doing well and everything is not stable. People keep saying on buying more food to keep in the house just in case something happen. These people are actually living in fear. And when there is spirit of fear underneath it, there will be disobedient and unbelieved. They will try to do all kinds of things to make the problems go away. Some will even say they will leave whatever problem they have for a while. But how long is the “for a while?’
In the book of Ruth 1:1-4, “when the judges rule, there was a famine in the land, and a man from Bethlehem in Judah, together with his wife and two sons, went to live for a while in the country of Moab.” But guess how long they lived in Moab?? They lived there for ten years!! Their “for a while” turn out to be ten years!! When their land is ruled by the judges, there are problems and there are no food. So they said they will be living in Moab for a while. But it turn out to be ten years. The husband and the two sons died in Moab. And when the wife came back to Judah, God had already come to aid of His people by providing food for them. Even though there are dark clouds in the noon, the sun is still shining brightly.
When there is problems, God will still be here. We may be going through a problem now and have to make hard decision, but always remember to have faith in God. And always remember “today is good news“. We don’t get connected to God because the spirit of fear holding us back. But the good news is that we have Him as our God and savior. There is nothing to be afraid of. God has plans for us future – plans to prosper us and not harm us.
I’ve watched a movie during EPCC movie night and the title of the movie is “Facing The Giants”. The “giants” here refer to our problems. And the movie is all about having faith in God and with Him, nothing is impossible. It’s an amazing movie. God Bless! =)
