Time pass by so fast as 2008 is coming to an end. This is a good time to reflect back everything that we had done in year 2008. All the ups and downs. 2008 had been a wonderful year for me as I’ve learn so much and gained new experience. I had experienced going through the busy year of Form 4 and had learnt new subjects like Add Maths and Accounts. Then there are also Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Although this year is a tough year for me, I know God was there guiding me through and he will always be there with me.

I hope when the year 2009 comes, we will let go and forget all the failures. Don’t look back and keep heading forward. And whatever happens, let Jesus be your inspiration. It’s not about winning the race but it’s about finishing the race with the torch still burning.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE…

HAVE A NICE AND UNFORGETTABLE 2009!

Chiropractic is based on the scientific fact that your nervous systems controls the function of every cell, tissue, organ and system of the body. Your nervous system consist of  your brain, spinal cord and millions of nerves. Your brain is protected by the skull, and your spinal cord by the 24 moving bones of the spine.

Many everyday activities can cause these spinal bones to lose their normal position or motion. This can result in nervous system dysfunction and ultimately, ill health. Chiropractic is like doctors that can detect and help prevent nervous system dysfunction which can lead to better health. more…

The next time if you are ever in the situation where you are charged for a higher price compared to the price tag on the shelf, you can demand the hypermarket to charge you at the lowest price. According to my dad’s friend, the consumers are covered by the Malaysian Consumer Protection Act 1999 which specified that all traders including hypermarkets should always honor the lowest price. It is in the Section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act 1999.

If they refuse to do that, go and make a report with the Consumer Tribunal Court. The primary objective of this Tribunal Court is to let consumers have a forum to file claims in a fast, cheap and simple way. The filing fee to file a claim is only RM5.00 and you will need to fill a claim form which is known as Form 1.

To know more, go and check out the Consumer Tribunal Court website.

Seems like the problem of price discrepancy between what is listed on the shelf tag and the actual amount charged is quite common among the hypermarkets or supermarkets. 2 days ago, we faced similar problem at Giant Hypermarket.

Today, I went for lunch with my dad and brother at the Queensbay Mall, Penang. After our meal, we decided to buy the Ambi Pur car refresher from Jusco Queensbay Store. As we were in a rush, we did not managed to scan and check the price before proceeding to the cashier. And since we were only buying 1 item, it was easy for us to remember the price which was RM14.90 as listed on the shelf.

Yesterday, I just recieved my very own debit card from Public Bank. It is alternative to cash and it gives the benefits of a conventional credit card without the monthy bills. I can just pre-load a cash amount onto the card that I can then use at any merchant in the extensive Visa network. How cool is that?

If I need cash when I’m travelling, it can just gives me instant access to cash from any Visa/PLUS ATM worldwide. It also works just like an ATM card. It’s very useful for exchanged students or kids that are not staying with their parents. They can be in overseas and at the same time, their parents can bank in money into their debit cards so they can spend. In this way, parents don’t need to worry if their kids got not enough money to spend when their at somewhere far away from their parents. Kids aged 12 and above are able to sign up for a debit card (with their parents permission, of course!).

And oh yea, the bank also pays monthy interest on the credit balance. This is so cool! Spending and earning interest at the same time. (^.^)

With this debit card, I can now withdraw my funds from PayPal.

Giant Hypermarket which claimed to ensure that consumers pay the lowest prices may not be entirely correct. They may claim to offer low prices but it is not necessary true if you are not careful with the actual amount that you are paying for the items, as it is usually due to human errors.

I regularly shopped at Giant Hypermarket in Bayan Baru, Penang with my parents and have on many occasions came across huge price discrepancies between what is labeled on the shelf compared to what is paid at the counter. Sometimes the price discrepancies could even ridiculously go above RM10 per item. In the past, we used to just inform the sales assistant to get it rectified. But however, I have noticed that this is still happening and I thought it would be a good idea to inform the public about it so that they could be more careful. I know that these mistakes are not intentional but then it could still causes us to end up paying more.

The movie Bolt is awesome!! It’s so awesome that it won’t make you fall asleep. You will laugh throughout the whole movie and there are also some touching moments.

The movie is about a dog named Bolt (John Travolta) who plays a heroic dog in a hit TV show and thinks that he has superpowers. In the show, Bolt and Penny (Miley Cyrus) try to save Penny’s dad from the evil Dr. Calico (Malcolm McDowell). One day after the shooting of the show, Bolt is accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City. He thinks that Penny might be in danger and wanted to save her. He then met a hamster named Rhino (Mark Walton) and a cat named Mittens (Susie Essman). Together, they help Bolt to find his way back to Hollywood. Along the way, he also learns that he doesn’t have superpowers and that it’s only a show. None of it is real.
